Review : For One More Day ;
This book is the first book i've read all year , mainly because i was working all the time .
on my off days , i'd strive for time to pull my social life together .
i have no idea where to start on this book .
first off , i must mention , I LOVE MITCH ALBOM .
i mean , his writing is absolutely perfect .
some parts are so "chim" , but i think that's what makes it really , really beautiful to have read the whole thing .
when i read to the part i can finally understand what this "chim" part meant , it's like , a light has shone on my and enlightened me .
more than the author would have ever known , i am inspired by his books .
He has written "The Five People You Meet In Heaven" and i have to say it was hands down the most touching story i have ever read .
tell me if you want a review on that too in my chatbox (in the second lightning bolt ok . click on it .)
his words express every feeling he must have gone through wonderfully and i am always sucked into the vortex of his vocabulary , his meaning-between-the-lines , and all the other small things that just lead to the main plot ever so excruciatingly slow , yet i wouldn't want to make it get any faster without reading it all .
finally to this point , this book .
it is about a guy .
a guy named "Charles 'Chick' Benetto"
His story pulls every string on my heart and breaks it so hard .
i have no idea why but his story , though being a sad one , makes it extremely uplifting .
He has gone through so much , and his thoughts are scarily similar to mine ,
making me a little afraid i will turn out this way ,
desperate , alone , delusional and suicidal .
He came to regret a lot of things as he neared death .
he saw the ghost of his dead mother .
he learnt so much more of his broken family while he was 'not on earth' than he ever did .
he came to realize how much he lost .
he started to know how much he had taken his mother for granted .
he regretted not standing up for her so much , the inbalance of how much she stood up to him versus the first was intimidating .
Chick found everything he was experiencing like a sugar rush --- unreal and fast .
he was often intercepted by his senses of his still present bodily senses of wherever his body was and whatever was happening to it .
Even to the last minute , he wanted more time with his mother .
he wanted to die .
he wanted to make it up to everyone .
i have no idea what impression this book has on you currently , and i know whatever i am saying now is incoherent shit , but in reality , after you read this book , you're gonna feel a little messed up , a little relieved , and a whole lot of reflection .
it does not express teenagers' woes , but it reminds me of what a wreck i could be in the future , and constantly keeps me holding on to a little more faith .
Chick's mother , especially , was such a role model , her character was amazingly portrayed .
what kept my eyes and mind glued to the book is probably how the author never left that one main topic .
i can't even use words to express it , but you just feel it deep down .
you . are going to love this book .
this book is going to slap you awake from whatever daydreams you have .
you are going to come to terms with reality after this and you will know why .
you have to read this book once man .
this book made me think so much about how i have been treating my family and , idk , it just makes alot of sense though the main character is long past our age .
in fact , he is almost gone when this story was supposedly written by the author .
whether it is true or not , it is up to your say .
some believe this .
some may not .
whatever it is , this book is going to change your impression on not just the world , but also yourself .
i can lend this book to anyone i know as long as you don't ruin it since it is a gift .
i love this book , and will give it a rating of 9.5/10 .
do try it man !

"All that happens when your dream comes true is a slow , melting realization that it wasn't what you thought it would be ."
