Sporting New Looks ;
Hello friends!
It has been so long since i even blogged, i kinda forgot i had this space.
Alot of changes occurred during the time i was absent from this blog - COVID exploded with Delta variant, and more to come, i changed jobs, hit a milestone in my relationship, and more importantly....
My dad is now a confirmed COVID case.
Experiencing the pandemic and getting caught up in the effects of the world in a pandemic is one thing.
Personally going through the virus as a family member of a confirmed case is another thing on its own.
It hasn't been easy - i've been trying to hold it together and keep my mind focused on the right things, but it's probably taking a toll on me somehow.
On top of that, my new workplace has been somewhat of a mess, though the opportunities offered are amazing, and the people i've got to know through this work is really a blessing. There's still plenty of things to learn here, and i really really like where i am now.
It might be tough getting into the groove here and there, but it's been 3 months and i honestly really enjoy the working environment, the office, and the people. A fresh breath from my previous company of 2 years.
Avensys Consulting had given me a platform to explore and learn all aspects of HR when i was just a noob at stuff, but now that i kinda got a direction where i want to move towards, i'm really thankful that we parted on a good note.
My manager and colleagues there taught me many things, and i believe this first office job shaped my work beliefs and strengthened my morals during my stay. I found my passion in work, and also learned the politics, tact, and management of projects and people.
So many things happened in the 2 years, i can hardly believe it's over just like that.
But i think i'm in a better place now.
I enjoy my work, and am still actively exploring my passion in HR and people.
Ah. I got distracted. Back to the COVID case thing.
My family is now in quarantine (at home) and we'll remain so until the 2nd of October.
It'll be a looooooonnnngggg 10 days, but for the safety of everyone, including ourselves, it's probably for the best.
The only thing i regret is that we didn't stock up enough groceries before this entire fiasco and now we're probably going to starve if we don't buy more food in the meantime HAHAHAHAH.
Is this a good time to make jokes about my bad situation or nah?
HMMMMM.
Humour makes everything better (hopefully).
In tough times, i think it's best i call upon the power of... having a bestfriend.
*cough* Ced *cough* i think i need help running errands. :P
(to be honest, this blog is so dead, i'm not even sure he reads my blog)
But i think we're managing this well so far,
Except the daily ART test that we have to do - that's probably definitely going to be a pain in the ass. or nose. It works both ways. :""")
Perhaps, just perhaps, if there are enough snippets throughout this entire quarantine period, it might become a short documentary on this blog.
Obviously i wish for nothing more than a smooth 10 days, with no hiccups in between and no scares, but hey.
Life is unpredictable.
I re-learn that everyday.
How about you?
Are you doing well?
Have you been drinking enough water and wearing your masks properly?
I hope you are.
May tomorrow always be better for you.
If you ever need someone, don't forget you have me.
Hang in there!
Sunnier days (metaphorically) are on their way!!!!
Joy
